If you bidding on a gun and win, you're expected to buy it. Its the right thing to do.
Bought a bunch from GB. Good site.

The Win 52, remember we shot them like they were no big deal when we were kids???!!! My High school had a rack of them and some 75's I believe?? So bid on 1 gun at a time, is what you're sayin??? I guess you do "WIN"....winning the auction......but alas.....you do have to pay for it. BF....I haven't started yet.....................getting damn close though.........

While there is nothing stopping you from welching on a won auction, it will get you negative feedback and is definitely a crappy thing to do. Best to only bid on one gun at a time.
I couple tips:
1) You can wing some auctions at the last second if there arent too many bidding 2) Ive bought some guns off GB by simply contacting the seller. If they're not getting any bids they may consider ending auction early for you.

If they're not getting any bids they may consider ending auction early for you. I thought GB switched their auctions to stop the auction sniping at the last minute. The new way is the auction ends at a set time OR 15 minutes after the last bid, whichever is last. So if you try to snipe an auction at the last second, then 15 minutes is added to let previous bidders increase their bids. Or maybe I am thinking of a different site. I too have contacted sellers through the site and they've ended the auction and sold it for the opening bid price. That usually happens when they have listed the item many times on the site and gotten zero bids and they are now dropping the price and relisting it. Got a great suppressor for really cheap a few months ago.

Gunbroker is a good site. Bought quite a few over the past four years. Take the time and search common misspellings and abbreviations of gun names. Sellers make mistakes and don't get good advertising making some good deals. Pay attention to the shipping costs, as they do vary alot. Some will ship from them privately to a dealer, and others only ship dealer to dealer adding more cost.

I do most of my buying and selling here, on ar15.com and TexasGuntrader because it's local, convenient, and faster. That said, I've done hundreds of transactions buying and selling on GunTrader and never had an issue. Yes, if you win something you are expected to pay for it! Nothing is more frustrating than a buyer that doesn't come thru and that doesn't matter if it's here, Gun Trader, or Ebay (happens everywhere). People's word just isn't what it once was.

Bought several on GB, gotten good deals to. Have to be patient and look at the small adds. Check shipping cost and credit card fees if using one. Some have the fees some do not. I generally look for the buy now options if it is something I really want.

GB is good to go. I've bought and sold a few there myself, but it's a dangerous thing to go poking around on that site when you're bored.
