Was it ever tough in KS/MO the last week. Breeding was essentially over and the gobblers weren't responding to the call at all. I struck out in MO. 4 days of hunting till 1, and not a thing to show for it. Heard plenty of gobbling on the roost, but that was it. Finally got these 2 KS gobblers to come and inspect what all that noise was about. Both weighed over 20 lbs with thick 10" beards. Going to concentrate on a Texas Eastern for the last few days of the season. Gman

At least you brought home the "bacon" STS, 2 good birds is still a hell of a trip
Congrats!

Nice. I agree that MO was rough this year.

Nice. What part of KS were you in? Buddy is up near MO/NE border now on his yearly hunt. Thinks it was early this year and now too warm. He has 3 more days though and only called in jakes so far.

Congrats on the birds in KS. It has been a weird year in MO for sure.

Look like hybrids to me, but either way congrats! I guess its possible. They were harvested in Crawford County, about 3 miles from the KS/MO line. Gman
