 Dad's been gone a little over 30 years. This is about as fancy as his hunting clothes got. Must have been cold 'cause he has the neck button buttoned. He hardly ever struck this kind of a dramatic pose; he was usually quick to laugh. Even though he'd managed to buy 160+ acres south of Fbg. for his own (at 250.00 an acre!), he dearly loved this lease by Sisterdale. He loved that Savage 24V too. Men of his generation usually didn't buy tons of guns; maybe one a decade. Like an idiot, I sold it.  Even though he had me late in life (pretty sure it was a Margarita anniversary - the math works), he was about as good a dad as anyone could ask for. We had our battles, but he taught me a ton about life, business, and hunting. I miss him to this day.

Great pic and story. Reminds me a lot of my dad who didn't wear too much camo either, usually wranglers, cowboy hat and a red flanel shirt
