I am thinking about picking one up as a dedicated can for my CZ-527 in 223. I already have 2 Omegas, a Harvester, and my son just filed on a Sandman TI. But I'm thinking if I can pick up a Specwar K on SPEQ pricing, then that would be a good one just to leave on the little 223 and not swap around. Plus I am already using the ASR system on the Omegas anyways. What is you guys opinion of it? Obvioulsy I am a fan of Sico and their warranty/customer service, so there is that.

I have one and like it greatly. I bought it after using my 7.62 Specwar. I was very happy with the 7.62 model, but thought something lighter but still very durable would be a good acquisition.

FWIW, I'm also a fan of the SiCo warranty/CS as I've posted in other threads. They're truly exceptional.

Well I went ahead and filed on one. For May Sico has opened up SPEQ pricing for veterans, so I jumped on it. Filed with Capitol this morning.

Well, that depends. I think SPEQ pricing is standard across the board, dealer to dealer. Everything that is in the SPEQ program comes from the factory with special serial numbers, and it all goes though one primary distributor. So I think each dealer has to run specific pricing on SPEQ items. How much you save is dependent on how good that dealers regular pricing is. On the Specwar 556 K I just bought it didn't seem like that much, because their std pricing was really good. But on the Spectre II that I got last fall, it was significant. Most of the items I looked at the pricing was enough better to make it worthwhile for sure.

Clear as mud?

Normally SPEQ is for active duty military and LE, plus disabled vets. Every now and then Sico opens it up to veterans with an honorable discharge. You will have to find a dealer that does SPEQ, and send them a copy of your DD-214.

Yes they are, I've heard very few negative things about them in general.
