Looking to buy one or the other very soon and Burris keeps popping up. I was set on SWFA but what would you do?

Man that's a tough one. The SS 5-20 I have has been punished, and keeps on keeping on. That's what we were shooting 1575 yards with. The glass is very, very good. I dare say I'll never sell it.

The Burris has better features though. The turrets are better, it comes with a sunshade, comes with Burris scope caps (which are awesome) the illumination turns itself off after two hours of use. It's a heavy sucker, though. The 34mm tube gives it lots of travel, and lots of strength, but it makes it weigh more.

I would need a Burris 20X to compare glass clarity side by side with the SS, to make a sure determination on which one is more clear, or if they're even. If they are even in clarity I'd go with the Burris.

The glass on the Burris will be a touch lower quality than the swfa but has tons more features and a better reticle in the scr.

Features - Burris
Glass Quality - SWFA

I've looked through both. Those are my conclusions.

The reticle on the Burris looks a little better but I haven't looked through either so I am just basing it off of pictures. I already bought once and cried once so I am trying to nail this one. I appreciate the information very much cheers
