Just booked a hunt with a laundry list of animals to potentially take. An aoudad would probably be at the top of the list to try and take. I'm running the new 143gr ELD-X in my Creedmoor. Is that enough gun/bullet to use on aoudad? That combination put down 2 bull elk earlier this year but I know how tough aoudad are.

If not, I can pull the '06 out of the safe.

Won't be a problem. Have fun on the hunt.

It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

Not sure I'd use it on nilgai, but it should be awesome on Aoudad. Do work, and post pics when you get back!

Is this a west Texas hunt or a game ranch hill country hunt?

I know there's blinds but we just locked up the ranch to ourselves, so not sure what will end up happening.
