Anybody got a recipe for grilled/charred okra? I've had some at a restaurant and love it

Coat them in Olive Oil and roll them in SPG. Grill and eat. Mine rarely make it to the table.

Real hot grill so they get grill marks, then they are done. Dang good! Don't overcook or they get slimey, still good.

DING DING DING

I invented a new acronym because I got tired of typing - coarse Salt, Pepper, & Garlic. I use the Canadian Steak Seasoning or mix up my own batch if needed.

It's even better thrown in a hot skillet with hot butter for a couple minutes then put on a plate and sprinkled with flake salt....to die for! chef

I love okra, will definitely have to try grilling some. I think Cast's method above should work well.

SPG is the basis for everything good. Add O and you get Venado's White Fajita Seasoning, which is flippin fantastic.

I've started grilling okra now, I love it. I've also learned to leave the lid off of the grill because the burnt olive oil drippings from the coals makes them taste like kaka. Leave the lid off and they're great!
