I need to purchase a large quantity of 308 Win powder. The more I buy, the cheaper it gets, due to shipping and large quantity discounts. I am looking at Lovex D073.06 powder, which is the original AA2520. This is the original 2520 powder, before it was moved to mfg in Belguim for AA and Ramshot powders. Explosia is the mfg, and sold under Lovex powder. With the prices I'm looking at, it should be much less than other local dealers, and a whole lot less than retail pricing. I can also get other Lovex powders listed in the link below. This purchase is focused on a bulk buy. If you are wanting to try 1# of something, this deal is not for you. The main powder I will plan to purchase is D073.06 (AA2520), which is an awesome powder for the 223 and 308, and is geared more towards the heavier bullet applications for each. If you are interested in 8 pounds or more, take a look at the link below on the product data, reloading data and burn rates. http://www.shootersworldsc.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/LOVEX-LOAD-DATA.pdfhttp://www.shootersworldsc.com/wp-conten...-1.0-MASTER.pdf

What kind of price/lb would we potentially be looking at? I might be interested but no unless its cheaper than what I can buy Ramshot TAC.

How well does this meter?
How temp stable?

Jepper, I am waiting on pricing right now. I will let you know on this thread as soon as I get it back.
Cleric, the 2520 powder is a double base, spherical powder. It is the BEST metering powder I have found, and is also one of the most consistent powders for bulk match grade ammo I have found for my 308 loads. It will have some temp sensitivity compared to other extreme powders. But what I am looking for is something that will meter consistently and shoot well to load on a progressive machine. Any of the extruded powders will not work for this, which are the temp stable powders. So, there is a trade off there. I have done lots of load testing and this is the best powder I have found.

Sounds good...
Am interested. Want to set up a 223 machine and run some ammo
What I found interesting was the load data only goes to 69smk. No load data for 77 or 75amax

The D073.06 (2520) powder would be best for that, or the next one faster burning D073.05 (AA2460). The slower burning 2520 powder would work great for the 223 and heavy bullets.

Anything close to AA2700. Also what will pricing be?

I have used this powder in 308,223,20 TAC and 6x45mm with good results. I used the last bit I had loading ammo in the 20 TAC for a coyote PD combo hunt to Montana It would depend on price but I would more than likely take 8lb

Too much gun powder is like too much horsepower or too much money, there's no such thing.
I'm down for 8 pounds.

Chad has already said it will be below retail. How much more information do you need to say you want some?

There are varying retail prices out there so it does matter a little. Local shops around here vary from 23-32.00 per pound depending on which powder and whose store your in. Lately I have been buying out the door for 21.50 per lb or less for the ones I use most but not long ago I loaded up on .223 type powder for 19.00 per lb so if it's below that retail.... Yea I am in.

Understandable. Chad said below other dealers, so I'll believe him. He needs to buy in bulk for himself to save money, and is offering it to us for us to save money as well as help him out. I'm glad to help someone that helps us so much. That's all I was meaning.

I got my pricing in. I can get most of the powders at this price. See page 4 at the link below. If you look at the links, and compare them to load data, you can figure out what the burn rate is and what the load data will be. If you want to place an order, I will need to order in 44 lbs increments. If you are the only person needing 10 lbs of 1 powder, I won't be able to order it in at this price. I need at least 44 lbs of one powder to order it in canister form at this price. If you want a 44 lb canister, I can do that. $17.50 per lb, and 10 lb minimum, or $175 per 10 lbs. I am ordering this in canister form (44 lb canisters), and will put them in a canister you provide or mine (I have plenty). This price is shipped direct to me for local pick up in Lewisville, TX. Send me an email to "chad at dallasreloads dot com" for more details. Deadline is this Friday, May 6 for ordering. To make the next truck shipment, powder will ship next week!!!!! http://www.shootersworldsc.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/LOVEX-LOAD-DATA.pdf

We need just enough of us to use up a 44 pound canister, so four of us by 10 pounds. What's gonna become of the other four pounds?
I'm down for ten pounds. I'll buy the other four pounds if needed.
Need three more people to buy ten pounds. Is that right, Chad?

I can do any combination of the various powders as long as it is in increments of 44 lbs. So, 4 people with 11 lbs each is fine. I got my powder samples in today, and will shoot them tomorrow of the D073-06.

Need three more people to buy ten pounds. Is that right, Chad? Or 4 buy 11 lbs? I'm fine with that as long as three other people are. We're in an election year. I'll be damned if they run me out of components. Time to stock up before the rush hits.

Curious to see results of D073.6 test loads.
Would the S070 be the best fit for 6.5 Creedmoor? Any one interested in this powder considering its a bit hard to find H4350?
