Anyone? I picked up a Zeiss Diavani C 3-9x36 West German made today as part of a multi-item package. When the dust settled and the ciphering was all done the scope ended being pretty much a freebie. I'm thinking of mounting it on either a CZ550FS in 6.5 Swede or a 7x57mm Spanish Mauser. Just for general shooting and maybe a deer hunt or two, nothing too serious. Anyone have one? I haven't even seen the scope yet but in the pics it looks clean as a whistle. Sounds like a good match for the rifles I have picked out for it.

OK, is this a case of "if you don't have anything nice to say..." ?

The scope you have is going to be great for your intended purpose. That particular model has not been manufactured in a few years, probably a decade. I've owned and used a lot of high end Zeiss scopes and have never been disappointed.

Well, I have the scope in hand now. Did some research. It's of German manufacture was was made prior to '96 when that model's production moved to the US and the lens coating changed to what would become the coating of the Conquest series. The one I got is in the box with all paperwork and doesn't appear to have ever been mounted. 3-9x36, clean and simple duplex reticle. I decided to mount it on the 6.5 Swede, gonna' try to get it out to the range Saturday morning before work. Thanks for the comments guys, nice to get a confidence boost!
