Well it's been a while, haven't been on here much considering work picked up, the baby, the teenager, house work, etc etc... Just life in general. So I hope y'all are doing good!

So I hooked up with Haiden Mensik, got a deal on some hog hunting, and wasn't really excited because it was in freer, tx, and I work close to that hell hole, so I was figuring it wouldn't be the break I needed... I was wrong.

I hunt all the fancy [censored] on my families ranch near Hext, TX, so when I hunt down here it's typically birds and hogs, based on the cost / drive.

So I show up in freer, scope the place out, then take a snooze before my evening of slaughter and terror.

I'm running a 10.5" SBR, shooting M855 ammo, NV capable optic, an Opscore BASE jump helmet with NVG mount, and an A/N PVS14, all kept quiet by a YHM phantom 762 Ti.

So I get out to my spot, waited a while, nothing, wait a little longer, nothing... Then the herd moved in. You've never had fun hunting until you turn a laser on and watch hogs get confused and start trying to root it up. Fu_kin laughed my a_s off over that. So after I got that outta my system I started dumping 2-3 rd bursts into hogs... It was the most pleasure I'd had in months. The sonic crack of the round leaving the suppressor, and the rapid thump of rounds impacting target, mimicked by the hard thud of meat slamming into the caliche. It was a beautiful symphony of savagery, played out in gentle shades of greens and black.

If you enjoy slaying hogs, you call Haiden. Period. It's really that simple.

On a previous occasion I also hunted his plce outside Woodboro, TX, and the bed and breakfast on sight is one of, if not the, most beautiful buildings from he revolutionary period (Texas Revolution, not that easy coast 1776 stuff), and the property is breath taking.... Pending you enjoy gentle knolls and large oak motts. If I had a choice I would have picked the Woodsborro property, but I can't complain about the freer property 1 bit, Haiden delivered as promised. He guaranteed there would be a lot of hogs, and damn it if he wasn't right.

I'd give the trip a cool 4.5 / 5, only because I really do enjoy the Woodsborro property that much. But again, all was as I expected and more in Freer. Damn good times, and zero complaints.
