I've used a slip blind for a gong but never used a blind flange.

You need 88 miles per hour for the flux capacitor to activate.

those things look awfully expensive, would it not be cheaper to purchase regular gongs?

Pancake and slip blinds work well. 300# blind flange would work I assume, just thick and heavy.

A blind flange is the flat metal piece used to cap off a pipe.

It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

Looks very heavy duty and should would fine, at least for awhile depending on composition of the metal.

Thank you.

How thick are they? And how far out do you want them? When getting "far enough" 3/8" and 1/2" mild steel work fine.

They vary depending on pipe size, material and pressure rating.
A 6" 300psi carbon steel blind is 1.62" thick. A 24" 300psi carbon steel blind is 2.75" thick.

Bullets may scallop them, but not even close to going through. They would hold up for many, many hits.

Ill take pics and measurements. I plan to use for 100yd (ar's and rimfires) and 200 to 1k for 220 swift, 308, 243ai, 257ai, 260 rem, and 7 mag. Good to hear they will potentially hold up well.

The fast .224 bullets do the most damage. I've got a piece of 1/2" AR 500 with a nasty crater in it from a .22-250 placed at 300 yards.

Make sure they can swing.

What kind of prices are you guys getting these for?
A 8" AR500 gong can be found for under $40. Wondering if would be worth it to just start using these instead.

Depending on spec and size. An 8" carbon 150 # will run around $200. Same one in stainless about $600.
