Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Is there anything to give a relative scale In any of the other pics? This could be a big boar or a small one, no way to tell. He looks similar sized compared to the other pig in the pics

Based on that (above height description) I would guess this boar to be in the 150-175 class. Not super tall, and doesn't look terribly thick, but he does seem to be long. Could fill out if given enough years, but why would we do that right?
Anxious to see him ground and pound checked.

So congrats, I guess! And I agree with Buckeye on the weight. 175ish.

So congrats, I guess! And I agree with Buckeye on the weight. 175ish. Just trying to point out...that the OP could easily measure the height of his leg and compare it to the tree knot he referenced. And that my legs (probably longer than average) don't suggest that the knot in the tree or the height of the hog are very tall. Another thing to consider when looking at photos of animals compared to objects of known size, is that it is VERY important that both subjects are at (or very near) the same distance away (focal plane), or you will end up with quite an illusion. Most hogs (even mature, big ones) will not exceed 30" at the shoulder, most less than that. A hog that truly stands 36" will be so evident, that no one will need to ask.
