Anyone know how I can get those gobblers out of where there hiding, I have seen 30-40 turkey every day during deer season in bracketville and ever since turkey season started I haven't heard a peep. I am assuming it's from hunting pressure, anyone experiencing the same thing?

Could be you are hunting more Winter range than Spring/Summer range. Turkey will move around sometimes miles. Were the turkeys there say a week before season opening?

Sometimes gobblers will go silent for a week or two during the season then open back up again.

X's 2. I have only heard one tom here all year. Same deal, they are occasionally on my place, but just passing through, or it's wintertime. A few hens will nest on my small place though. Don't call any different, less is still more and many toms will come in silent in any case.
