What are some really hot factory loads for a .357 mag? Just for grins, I'm going to try some of Buffalo Bore's stuff, but are there any others that are particularly hot? I found these http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/ppu-357-mag-158-grain-sjhp-50-rounds?a=1584524 and they claim 1608 fps with a 158 grain bullet. After visiting the website though, I find out it is using a 10" test barrel. I'm sure my 4" revolver results won't be nearly as spectacular. This isn't for any special purpose, just for fun.

As previously mentioned, Buffalo Bore and Double Tap. You can also check out Underwood Ammunition.

I'm a Buffalo Bore fan with my 4" Ruger GP-100.
A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

Some of the old Norma 357 was pretty stout, you see it every once in a while at gun shows. Its the old slender 20rd boxes.

Buffalo bore is where I'd look.

Check out Underwood Ammo. They push all their loads and advertised velocities are accurate in my experience.
