I try to gut shoot runners. With my 6.8 shooting 120gr SST's it sure slows them down to a slow trot at best. Then I can make a neck follow up shot to finish them off. I've hit plenty of pigs in the shoulders, legs, you name it. They will run. Spine shots drop right where they are. Gut shots slow them down better than breaking a shoulder or hip to me. I use an Armasight Zeus for all my night hunting. Finally took the plunge and stepped up to add a suppressor. Been pretty slow this year so far, only killed 25 pigs.

I run an AR10 with an ACOG on it. Works pretty good with my feeder light

I have a 25 DTi that I am thinking would be perfect for rigging for night hunting. It's a 6.8SPC case necked down to 25 cal with 30 degree shoulder..... Runs the 85-90gr bullets at 3000fps. Just got to decide NV or Thermal...

Sounds like a great round. Get both thermal and NV. Thermal for spotting and NV for shooting. Although I have two thermal units that I shoot and spot with.
