All instinctive. It was awesome to watch. He is with Buck at Backyard Training Kennels right now, I'll pick him up next month.

Looks great.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Good looking dog

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

Thank you!

Scout is now 1 1/2 weeks into training, he has several commands down (kennel, heel, and load up), and has been introduced to gun fire with 30 yards without issue. I sure do miss him.

good looking dog - my best bird dog is a GSP named Scout. Love hunting over that dog. Nice nut shots!

Great looking dog! I had to put off getting my GSP a year for a couple of reasons, but can't wait to get him next summer. What breeder did you get him from?

Haha!

Thanks everybody for the replies.

Scout is a Wing and a Prayer dog out of Katy Texas.

The worst part about sending a dog to a trainer is missing them for 3 months.
