After staying in a tent a few times during last season and more years than I liked

after a few weekends, I've built put together this

Went through the storms this past weekend, no more tent flapping all night, dripping water or unzipping zippers!
everything is screwed together, so if I have to move, hopefully it wont be to bad

Works for me with a fire pit.

I like it. I'd have to add a porch.

Our first was about that size, 8x12, on one of the 8 foot walls we made built on bunk beds. I had 2 old GI bunk bed mattresses that we used on them.

I would also put some skirting around the bottom, to keep skunks and snakes from making themselves at home.

Might want to consider putting down some of those screw into the ground mobile home type thingies to secure it in case of high winds.
Much better than a tent, I agree, looks good!

One of our guys did that but a little bigger. We have storage on one side and two beds inside. Good job.

That ought to work, looks good. up A porch, a fire ring, and a window unit for the summer time and you're good to go.

Depending on wall strength, you could hinge two bunk beds to one long wall, that store up and out of the way. I have done that in a deer blind before and it works great for small areas.

Size is 8x12 just me most times
Door faces northwest
Bought the wood for a deck today
Fire pit is about 30 feet away
Inside pics next trip
Portable ac unit this summer
I find myself going to the lease every two weeks instead of monthly now up
Inside will be finished out by season-
opinions on plywood or sheetrock?

No, I sat down and drew everything out with the measurements. I pre cut the wall studs before taking them down
I looked at the ones at big boxes, most had 2x3 walls, some on 24" centers and a few that had a 2x3 in the middle of an 8 foot wall. The joist for the roofs were stapled together and the prices are outrages for what they are. I have around $800 in mine and about another $200 to go on the inside

Nice

A real roof and an AC are game changes.

Now for one of those little propane powered, tankless hot water heaters. They are less than $150. Add a $20 RV pump and a poly water drum and you are all set.

We all need to practice Whoa more.

If it was mine, I would do either plywood or OSB with some peg board. Sheetrock will mold faster than the wood products. Plus you don't have to try and find where the studs are at (if you finish the walls).
