It is happening now folks.

____________________________________________________________

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A $1,000 per gun tax should serve as a “role model” for states, according to the governor of the U.S. territory of the Northern Mariana Islands, which imposed the $1,000 gun tax earlier this month. An idea first endorsed by Hillary Clinton in 1993, steep gun taxes have now taken hold in Cook County, Ill. the city of Seattle, and now a U.S. territory.

I can't even put into words how much I despise Hillary Clinton and all the other "progressive" politicians in this country. This is nothing more than another attempt to circumvent the Constitution.

I'm sure that will put a stop to the bad guys getting ahold of any weapons.

Watch for the much easier to implement ammo and reloading supplies taxes.

"Hunters only need a few rounds per year - so $1.00 or $2.00 per cartridge will not really impact them."
"The money will be used for the children."
"This tax will help educate people about evil guns."
"The money will be used to help shooting victims."
"Who needs an obscene amount of ammo like 1,000 rounds - we MUST stop that evil!"

Think I'm wrong?

Marc

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

We already pay a extra tax. It's called the Pittman-Robertson Act.

I expect heavy ammo taxes in the future. Too many guns already in circulation for a $1000 tax per weapon to work. Which is why I stock up when I can find good sales.

There is already a quasi-gun tax, the CHL fee.

I'd be pretty upset about a $1000 per gun tax if I owned any guns.

I'm not worried.

I would not call it a "tax" but rather we are paying for labor to process the request, run and verify the b/g check and make the ID card.

No. I cannot support any new tax of any kind until spending is brought back in control in accordance with the constitution.

This $1G tax is unreasonable under any circumstance.
