Anyone got Axis Doe I can hunt (w/ rifle) in the next three weekends? My parents are visiting from Chicago and I want to treat them Axis meat. I want to come over a weekend or 2 days max & hunt. Dont want to pay ridiculous $1000 or so. Something around $300-375 max. A lot of places are offering that for less than that but they dont have availaibility till July. Might get 2 or 3 axis if the price is right and get an opportunity. Please help. I am in Dallas and dont mind driving up to 5 hours for it. Again, NO TROPHY interest. Only Meat !!! They have specifically asked for Axis because they had eaten it in India 20 years back and want to try again. Thanks.

Might just be able to buy the meat if nothing else, just in case no hunts come up.

Buying meat is too expensive. Plus, the joy of killing your own animal and eating is different.

He is coming out to $400 kill fee + $250 a day. I am looking for something reasonable. So far I am getting $300 inclusive of everything for Axis Doe.

I am selling Axis doe live for more then that There is no standard of pricing in the hunting world is what I have learned. There are some charging $650+ for a doe stating that prices have gone up and this is fair. Whereas, someone else to earn business is giving $300 inclusive of lodging and guide fee. He said he got 200 of them. Another guy said $150 for as many as you can shoot but success rate is 20%. I am not sure what is a fair price. However, $300 is definitely affordable.

I would steer clear of anyone offering you unlimited axis doe ( I'm guessing low fence). Chances are if you do see one which him putting a 1 in 5 chance on it kinda says you probably won't, after you take one shot, most of the time nothing else is going to venture into that area after hearing a Big Bang.. That's just my thought
