I stopped by the local pawn shop an they had a used smith & Wesson 9mm SD9VE for $289. The gun was in very good condition. Does anyone have any experience with this gun and what would be a good used price for this gun.

Yep. Also, it should have at least two mags, or discount that much more.

Yes good point those mags are $30 or $40 a piece. A new gun comes with 2.

Decent pistol but for a little more, you could get a shield...
I've owned one and never had problems with it but I will not own another.

It's a good truck gun. The trigger will be stout, in the 8lb range. Even before I put the APEX kit in my M&P my BIL like my M&P a lot more than his SD, but it does go bang every time

I am looking for a good reliable gun to keep at home mainly one my wife will be able to handle if needed and without breaking the bank. And also something fun to mess around with. I saw the price and reviews on the gun and am thinking it fits my budget for what I was looking for.

Put a little more with what you have and buy a used Glock, XD or M&P police trade for that price.
