Hard to provide a good argument against either....... both well know to be excellent choices.

Handle both and see which one "talks" to you.

I agree.

I have a mk3 and really enjoy it.

If you want to pack it around in a holster, I would recommend the lite Ruger Mark III. I have the Target model and it is too heavy to pack around on a regular belt.

I had a Buckmark and loved it, but the Ruger is great as well. All the advice above is good in my opinion. Hold both and one will speak to you.

Ford/Chevy. Had a Ruger, it was stolen. Buck Mark was on sale, replaced the Ruger with it. I prefer the Browning, probably just as many prefer Ruger. If you want to customize Ruger is the way to go.

I have a ruger 22/45 Lite, more or less a mk3, and totally love it. But I second yours and others' thoughts that the buckmark is an excellent choice too but go Ruger as it validates me when others make the same choice.

I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

They both are great. There's a new Smith also, but I don't know much about it.

I have both and prefer the Buckmark. The ruger has a trigger that needs work before it measures up to the browning. The Buckmark has a sweet trigger right out of the box. up

Agreed on the trigger. My Buck Mark is also just the basic Camper model.

Saw your location, my mother's family is from Dickens.

Remington's new 22 pistol might be worth a look.

Easy to take down or switch barrels. A newer, more modern design.

I love my 22/45 Lite. And if your ever thinking about getting a supressor it comes threaded.

22/45 Here, They will all get filthy, but the 22/45 seems to run well. Used a Buckmark with TacSol barrel, but the tight chamber of the TacSol was problematic as it got dirty.
