Hey guys, I picked up a mossberg 9200 for free the other day but it doesn't have any choke tubes with it. I want a full so my nephew can shoot a turkey with it. What brand will work with this shotgun and can I just run out and buy one or do I have to order it?

Ps. I got the gun for free because the previous owner thought it had an issue. He took it apart and didn't put it back together "in order" so he thought it was defective. Anyway, he lost the modified choke that was with it and I just need a full choke to complete it for turkey hunting.

Any help will be really appreciated.

www.trulockchokes.com Order the long Beard XR #6 choke or the Federal 7 Heavyweight choke and then buy the ammo for the choke that you selected. Either way, you will not be disappointed. The chokes are tailor made for that specific ammo and the patterns that they throw are devastating out to 40 yds. but the Federal Heavyweight 7 is pricey. I might also add that the chokes are designed for 3" shells.

+1. I would follow his recommendation to a tee. You should have a fine turkey gun with either set-up.

Gamblin, if I ever get a chance, I will buy you a steak dinner for giving me that same recommendation a year or so ago. I go into the woods now with the confidence that I will kill my bird once the occasion presents itself. I have patterned both of these combo's in 2 different guns and couldn't be happier. I actually found out how much I didn't know about how my guns would shoot these rounds and how much POA and POI would differ. I will be doing the same test with my dove loads to optimize my hunts.

Good Deal. I ordered one earlier this week an when I got home today it was on my front porch, I may go run some lead thru it tomorrow.
