This will be my first year to really go after deer, I've always been a wing shooter and predator hunter. My question to y'all is, what would be a good game camera to get that takes good pictures, doesn't have to take videos, but at the same time won't break the bank? I understand I'll have to probably spend $175+ on one, but I have absolutely no intentions on getting the $400+ ones I've seen. Any reviews on cameras you personally have are greatly welcomed. Thanks for your input!

Browning strike force HD. Great little camera I run 5 of them and they are between 110-120 with ad card and batteries you are still well below 175 apiece.

I bought 3 Bushnell mini-cams that are 5.0 MP at Walmart. They cost under $100 and I got the 2 yr extended warranty for another $9 each. With batteries(4 AA's) and card they were still under $130 each. The batteries last a long time and they take pretty good pics on low resolution. I can set the delay manually from 1 second to whatever I want. Video capable or take bursts. IR is pretty bright also. Been happy with them for the money. Here is a site that tests cameras.

Bushnell Trophy Cam
-Bushnell's customer service is great. I haven't tried out the mini's that STX mentioned but I bet they are good and I can promise you that STX uses his a lot.
Any of the Cabela's cams will be good too.

If you are in the $175ish range, you could possible find yourself 2 cams for that price if you look around. Check out plenty of sites. I know natchez runs deals on refurbs every so often. I always search amazon for good deals too.

Another vote for Strike Force (now called Elite), don't think you can beat the "bang per buck"

get one here and get an extra years warranty and a free 8g sd card for $139.

I had a Primos TruthCam 35 that I bought several years ago. It's under $100 and worked great. It takes video and pictures. I ran a lot of cameras at our property(other people's camera and mine), I got se feud with all the other cameras that I went out and bough 6 more just like mine. That makes 7 for 7 that work great. Its cheap and highly dependable, there's my 2cents

Another vote for the Bushnell Trophy Cam. Best cam I've ever used. I think I gave around $130 to $140 each for them at Cabelas but they had a mail in rebate that brought that price down some.

You can't beat the Brownings for the price and their performance. They do a great job during the critical dusk and dawn periods of the day. Some camera manufacturers seem to switch to the flash modes too late for good quality pics, inorder to extend battery life. Browning does well on batteries and has good transitional lighting picture performace.
