Grandmother made the best squirrel dumpling, she cooked head also my grandpa would bust them open and eat the brains. Kill the gray (cat) squirrels if you can find any there all tender when fried. That's all we use to hunt when I was a youngster over in the bottoms out of Alba before lake fork got um.
