Hi, New guy here and new to Texas. Avid fishing and hunting and enjoy the outdoors. Makes Texas a nice fit. Looking to meet some new people and find a few hunting buddies. Maybe a little help on where to go, etc. Mainly hunt pig, deer, rabit, dove, turkey. Anyway would love to get out soon and learn the areas, I figured out the lease thing but right now looking for some hunting buddies and tips on some good pig hunting. Thanks...looking forward to meeting some people

Do you have your hunter safety card yet? As you are learning Texas is 97% private land, but there is still some public hunts that you can apply for on the Texas Parks and Wildlife site. They start in late July with draw dates periodically after that.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

Thanks, need to still get that and now getting settled so have time to do so. I did figure out the private land part...not opposed to buying a deer lease in the future. Right now been doing more fishing for the moment.

North end of the lake (Lavon) can have good hog hunting. Fishing is good there too this time of year when the crappie move close to the shoreline.
