First, I am not really a breakfast casserole fan, but saw this one somewhere, maybe here, and tried it last night. Probably knowing that I was putting it together at 130am, knowing I'd be too tired to cook or eat this morning.
I sprayed the crock pot with PAM. Lined it with 4 cups of hashbrowns (I used dehydrated that had soaked 30 minutes, but frozen or fresh would work too). And seasoned with Tony Cachere's.
Dumped in a pound of cooked crumbled breakfast sausage (that I cooked ahead of time). Then 12 oz of grated cheese for the next layer. Then 12 stirred raw eggs (which had some more tony's), and poured in the next layer. Then topped the eggs with 4 more oz of cheese. Cooked it for 6 hours on low.
It was good. Will be great at deer camp. Would have fed 6 guys well, maybe more. Pot cleaned up easy.
Next time I'll try some chopped green chilis, onions, red bell peppers, etc.
Sorry, it went too fast for pics!

sounds good! but you gotta have onions.
I might suggest you getting some of the crock pot cooking bags, even easier cleanup!

Sounds good, may have to give it a try. Always hate the work time we loose at the place to cooking/eating breakfast, burns up some of the best working hours of the day.
It's hell eatin em live

we usually keep a large zip lock bag with crumbled cooked sausage in our freezer, sure would come in handy for this application.
