I have seen them and actually had to stop as they crossed the road, they seem "people" tolerant when you're in a vehicle for sure. Quite a few just out of Ouray towards Silverton.

I saw quite a few shooter mulies on private land, had a few run across the highway in front of us and saw some in town too. Just didn't see any shooters on public land in our units.

We got drawn for antelope and deer in Unit 31. We'll be hunting deer around Carslbad and I've never hunted that type of area before. We'll be with a local guy the first couple of days and on our own after that. Anybody have experience or advice hunting that country?

I did this hunt 2 year ago and took a 330" bull, theirs monsters in this unit but the terrain is very rough and the Bulls are broke away from the cows during rifle so plan to do a lot of hiking 10-15 miles a day. The guide I hunt with has taken some bulls over 400" out of their.
