There is a big knife show coming up tomorrow and Sunday. The show is at Market Hall in Dallas, on Stemmons Freeway. Show opens at 9 both mornings. That's the details, here's the cool part.

We will have around 70 tables of custom and handmade knives, by some of the best makers in the world. Among the table holders will be Johnny Stout, winner of "Best Folder" at this year's International Custom Cutlery Expo, Bill Ruple, winner of "Best Folder" and "Best of Show" at last year's Blade Show, Harvey Dean, chairman of the board of American Bladesmith Society. The list goes on and includes national guild members and ABS certified makers. One thing this show has in addition to the superstars is a very solid assortment of new and mid-level makers, the guys whose quality is good and prices are affordable, for good using knives. There is no better opportunity in the state of Texas to look at, handle, and purchase a hand made knife. I hope some of you can come out.
