Big boar, no smell, clean dark healthy looking meat. Made some great pork steaks last night!

Corn looks great, as do the steaks.
How long did you cook them? Were they tuff?

quick sear, then about 45 min. on the cool side under heavy smoke. Did 4 of them, 2 from the shoulder, 2 from the ham. Shoulder was a little tougher but no more than any other pork I've had. And they all tasted great. Might try just straight smoke w/o searing next time to see if they come out any better.

No fear! Every once in a while I get lucky enough to get a boar that size with edible meat. But I have had the not-so-edible hog too. Good Job!

A lot of times I see folks that will cook pork steaks hot and fast with a sear and then throw them in a larger pan/tub and let them simmer covered or in the oven in a sauce for a few hours. Comes out super moist and fall apart tender, sounds like something to try.
Looks tasty!

Man those steaks do look good. Fawn killer in the back paid his tab as well. Good deal.

As long as the meat doesn't smell funky when cleaning it it will be good to go...
