So, who works out and what do you do?
Since its off-season, I find myself in the gym more often. I don't know if it is to prepare for next season or just because I'm bored or because I need the exercise. Probably a combination of all three.

I try to. I finally got a workout plan to follow. It's hard for me though as I'm in a hotel a lot and they don't have the best weight rooms. But I workout and run because I'm goal oriented, and I started doing ocr. I just don't have the motivation to go to the gym just to go so o found a reason to make me go.

I do. I normally slack off during hunting season and I really slacked off this past season but I'm back at it now
I don't really like to workout but I do like the way it makes me look/feel so I power thru it

Every morning, takes an hour to an hour and 15 minutes depending on the weights.

Three days a week @ the gym and usually do the yard once a week. Not trying to build up to anything, just trying to stay in ok shape - for a 58 YO accountant.

I was a runner for 35 years and put in a between 35-70 miles a week depending on if was training for a 5k, 10k, 1/2 marathon, or marathon. As you can guess my kness are now wrecked and I only walk about 3 miles a day. I don't visit the gym too often.

That and heavy, heavy weight lifting is abuse on your body

so is basketball when you are over-competitive and 37yo, MCL sprain has had me out of the gym for a week now, other than a few days to do some upper body work. its getting better but will be laying off any leg work for another few days at least.
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

Just started back into running. 21 weeks till I'm in the mountains elk hunting. Pretty tough to find the time with a 2 1/2 year old and a 6 month old. The 6 month old is finally sleeping decently. Which has allowed me to start getting my routine down.
Right now only running. Another week or so and I'll add core exercises, then bleachers.

I average 3-4 days per week. Alternate as I feel like it between lightweight-fast weight lifting, running, swimming, climbing, etc. Been running mostly for the last few months, but just did the half marathon I had been training for (Palo Duro Canyon Spring Trail Run) and now taking a short break from running. Will get back to it, but probably focus on swimming and weight lifting for the next month or two.

this site has a good workout everyday for someone that might like the crossfit idea but doesn't like the oly lifts that a typical crossfit gym employs... www.crossfitfootball.com

I laid off of any leg work for 2 weeks and got back into it yesterday with some light back squat and a good workout, knee felt good and has been ok after.
strength:
5x4 back squat with 12 20lb wall balls between each set. 135, 155, 185, 205, 225, did 8 on the last set cuz it felt good
workout was 16min as many rounds/reps as possible:
250m row, supposed to be 200m run but it was pouring rain 9 hand stand pushups 15 toes to bar 21 kettlebell swings, 70lb KB
I completed 4 rounds plus the row, HSPU's, toes to bar and 1 KB swing of round 5
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

I wish I did. For whatever reason after many years of staying on top of fitness, I have lost all interest in going to the gym. Now it's a bike ride or jog around the hood. Wish I could find the motivation to get back into the gym,

Wish I could find the motivation to get back into the gym, The yoga pants are motivation for me, well at least the ones who should be wearing them. But in all seriousness its just part of my everyday life now, Im 34 and been going for almost 10 years now. If I don't workout I feel sluggish all day. Find a friend that works out and start going with them to get in the groove.

I now just use an exercise bike @ the gym and some light weights. Knees don't ache any more since I quit running. JR

I hike 15+ miles of trails a week when weather allows and do the Incline as often as I can. The Manitou Springs Incline is over 2000' elevation gain in less than one mile...basically, stairs that will absolutely kick your a$$. Then I'm in the gym 6 days a week.

Best shape I was ever in was 2013-2014 walking 15-20 kilometers a day wearing about 50 or so lbs of gear all the time. I was running up afghan mountains like it was nothing. Now I can't even run a quarter mile before it feels like knives stabbing me inside my knees. I would give a testicle to be back in that kind of shape.

I do my best. No where near the shape I was in in college... Nobody pushes me to be, and I could quite honestly give a crap most of the time. When I'm home (which is rare) I workout with my brother and sister in law several times a week, but they're a little hard core for me.
I've found the last few years that it's a lot easier for me to eat clean and work out when I can and stay in alright shape.
You can run but you can't hide...

I go at least a couple of times a week to the gym do stair stepper and treadmill and some upper body workout machines. I kinda enjoy it and get to watch tv. I am lucky that I work right near the gym and can easily fit the workout into my lunch hour. It's amazing what a difference it makes when hunting in hills and rough country. My nephews..... some of them 25 years younger than me can't keep up with me. That alone isreward enough.

I try for 6 days a week but sometimes only get 5 days. I recently hurt my knee and it kept me from doing any cardio and limited leg lifting. I finally have my knee healed and bought a brace for added support. It's easy to take healthy parts for granted until you hurt them.
Anyways, here is my schedule.
Mon: Chest, Biceps Tues: Back, Triceps Wed: Shoulders, Legs, Abs
Thurs, Fri, Sat: repeat
Also, run one mile or cardio session before beginning workout with weights. The good thing about grouping these muscle groups together like this is that you don't have to rest. Just go from one to the next, i.e. bench and curls Do 1 set of bench and then 1 set of curls and repeat without rest. Keeps heart rate up and you will sweat better.
