I was sad to learn this past weekend they are not made in Texas or even by Moore Maker. MM just contracts with other companies like Camillus, Queen, and Bear and Sons. The most recent ones have been made by B&S and are just marginal quality. Everything about their packaging gives the impression they are made in Matador, TX - but if you read carefully they never say that, only that they are USA made. I was disappointed to hear this and IMO Moore Maker is selling a misleading product.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

Victorinox, Swiss Army. I've carried one daily since about 1975. Bought my latest one in 1992, it was getting beat up and I mailed it back to them. They reconditioned and tuned it up real good and sent it back... no cost.

I started carrying a Boker Stockman the first of the year. Purdy good steel, 440-C, and good craftsmanship. Holds a purdy good edge, I think it's gonna work.

I've carried a Case Trapper for the last 20 years. I use one blade for food and the other for everything else.

I have all kinds of folders. From Figh'n Rooster to Carl Schlieper. I'm shamed to say my EDC is a $10 2-blade canoe Rough Rider. Stays sharp longer than any Case or Buck I have put in my pocket. Ha Ha you can still buy it for the same price I paid 5 years ago! Red Rider Canoe

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!

Some functions it is an antique pearl or ivory folder, sometime Swiss army other times it is a Douk Douk which really cuts and holds a good edge and other times I might carry my own make. Just depends. Old person joke there

I've carried an old Schrade 3 blade Uncle Henry for years but I don't have a clue how much it cost.
