Went to Choke Canyon today looking for crappie. I ran out of minnow and switched to a small spinner bait. Had a hit on the 4th or 5th cast an set the hook. This whopper came flying out of the water straight at me. Came in about 3 1/2". The spinner was almost that big. Gluttony ?

If you ran out of minnows there must be other pics?

The little ones always want to eat food half their size it seems

Ended up with 1 13" crappie, 1 16" bass and 1 14" channel cat. 4 undersized crappie and 2 undersized bass. Didn't
take any other photos. Have been down there 4 time lately and usually have about a 1/2 dozen crappie each time. Just
haven't really got into them yet. Today the wind was terrible, gust up to 20 mph or more. Maybe next week will be better.

Guilty of the same, have ordered too much food or gotten out too much food on occasion. Didn't have camera for one that I caught on a devils horse, the plug was longer than the bass.

Pics of the crappie?

I've seen bass that size inhale a Zoom Finesse worm in the blink of an eye. After seeing that multiple times is when I switched to the 10.5 Zoom ole Monster. I had been skeptical before about using a worm that large.

Are you going to mount that brute? He might make double digit, like .02 oz.
