Are these funnels really worth $12.99 each? What would make me want them over the plastic one I'm now using?

I don't know if they are worth it but I had static-cling with my plastic funnels and some of the powder kernels would stick. I have not had that problem with the aluminum Satern funnels.

Satern has caliber-specific and two (?) universal. Having not looked at plastic, I don't know if they are available caliber-specific. If they are (which I assume they are) not that could be a benefit though it's more of a preference in my opinion. What is a naturual advantage is there are no concerns with static that plastics have. Though to reduce or eliminate static with plastics they can be wiped with a dryer sheet. I said all that to say that there's not much advantage if any. But, I have some on order. I simply prefer metal over plastic.

Bunch of rookies, plastic will quit sticking powder to it after 10,000 loads. peep

In all seriousness, I can't remember the brand, but my pan, and my funnel are all one piece. It is black plastic and has worked terrifically for many years. And it weights 67.9 gr....

If that's the case, and supposing I had plastic, mine may never stop being static-y.

I use the Frankford Arsenal Powder Funnel Kit. It has 1 main funnel, and multiple nozzles for each caliber. I like it a lot. If a plastic funnel starts getting clingy from static, I wad up a drier sheet and pull it through the funnel and wipe off the funnel. It works very well.

I've got an RCBS funnel w/ 3-4" drop tube, I've got a Hornady red plastic funnel and I've got the pan w/ the funnel end. They all did have static issues early on but that eventually goes away, Chad gave the solution if it's not manageable or bugs you.

I don't use the pan to drop into the case I use either the RCBS or the Hornady depending on if I am packing powder in with the drop tube or not. I've thought about buying the Saturn but the plastic ones work just fine.

The Forster drop tube has worked well for me and seems to let the powder flow in more evenly than a short funnel.

Not a huge thing, but handy.

JB - I'd not seen that funnel before. I like the design of the drop tube. I might have to pick one up the next Midway order I make. Thanks!

Yup^^

The insert, and the hack make the Chargemaster twice as efficient.

I had the two posts marked to follow so I could keep up with them. Is there only one insert necessary or are there different tips for different powders? I should have the Chargemaster Wednesday. I'll check the tube size and order then.

I'll need to save a little more then get a Co-Ax. My Dillon RL550B I really like for pistol and .223 but I think I want the co-ax for 22-250,6.5CM and .308

We are more happy to assist you with spending $$

I would go ahead and get both inserts when ordering, one is good but the smaller one works well with ball powders.
