I guess I'm easily amused. Last year, for the first time, dove nested in this pergola we have in our court yard, I felt like the dove got to know us, and were not afraid of us as we walk in and out of the court yard (wife and kids amused as well). The dove offspring after leaving the nest would hang out around the court yard for weeks, then there was another hatch in the pergola, on a different post (they like to nest on the post), and I was thinking it was the same dove nesting a second hatch, but maybe it was the offspring? Then there was a 3rd hatch last year, meanwhile, it just seemed like a big family of dove was growing on my property and found my pergola as a cool place to nest cool2 . It will be interesting to see how many hatches we have this year.

Took this pic on the 3/19, I was amused, this dove was not scared of me, I'm out messing with my boat out back and it is just watching me I'm walking right by it and it is not flying off. I walk in my garage and into my house, come back out my garage door and there is the dove, in my garage, on a shelf right by the door, I mean like 5 feet from me, and not flying off. I wanted to take a pic, but I thought this is not good this dove following me into my garage. I try to scare it off, it would not leave, I had to really shooo it off. I guess the dove like me and don't know that I'm a stone cold dove killer? confused2

We got a white wing that starts calling every morning at 6 am right outside our bedroom window. Not cool... coffee

They're nesting in our back yard. Last year we had a nesting pair of white wings, mourning, and collared doves.

Just kidding with you

I will add that it is as if the dove never leave DFW or at the lease I had in Haskell County in last year or two

Dove nest two to three times a year, just need all the storms and bad weather to hold off this year so the next aren't destroyed.
