Apparently crow is not as tasty as dove grin The hawk was still working the feeder but now has a taste for dove instead of crow. Doves have been hitting this feeder for the last 6 months.

There are piles of dove feathers in several of our feeder pens. All I can figure is it must be a hawk. Great pics.

I have noticed the same thing at my back yard feeder. Thought it might be the neighbors cat but to think of it I have heard and seen a Red Tailed Hawk.

I have a pair of hawks that hunt my feeder as well, have seen them go for the dove several times, once in a blue moon they will go for a squirrel too. Never seen them catch one, but have found feathers under large trees close by.

Those are great pics. I had a red tail swoop down and grab a robin out of my yard one morning. Me and my son watched him tear that little bird to shreds and leave a pile of feathers behind. My son has been obsessed with raptors ever since.

Cool pics thanks for sharing. I watched some Hawks making good use of the bats emerging from the old tunnel bat cave near F'burg one evening. Pretty resourceful critters.
