What was your max in your prime?

Personally couldn't get much up after 3 plates.

prime ... 385 max, 22 reps at 225 ... doubt I could clear 225 once now after numerous 3rd degree shoulder separations in both shoulders.

Probably 6-8 per set. Depends on the day as to how many sets I get in

i did 325 4 years ago and havent benched since and then it was only to see if i could i'm not really a weight lifter at all.

My max is 225, somedays 135, just depends on the shoulders if they are going to cooperate. Haven't benched in about a year for that reason

I did 300 in college, but that was many moons and 12 oz curls ago... would be lucky to get half that now; although a couple of years ago i did get a tree off me while trimming during an ice storm

Got 295 at 38, steadily getting stronger, then found out I have a bad heart valve, so I am restricted to light weight lots of reps.

12 oz on most days....16 oz on good days.....32 oz when I'm trying to show off....but I pay for it later.....

Almost 250 before the shoulder gave up. I've dropped it down to 210 but still do the rest of my routine daily. 30 minutes on the elliptical at level 6 and 30 to 45 minutes on weights.


Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

250 just out of high school. I doubt I could even do 200 now. Spent other of time working out haven't been in the gym in year .

315lbs @ 31 (now I'm 39). Just started working out the beginning of this year again & work out w/225 for 3 sets of 8 to 10.

Highest ever was 387 for 3 reps. Almost 63 yrs old and still bench 310.

Very true.

One of the things he did was plow up a 50 yard by 15 yard part of the peanut field behind the school. It is deep and loose sand and the boys run sprints through it 2 days a week. Also has them dragging sleds up a gentle hill. Josh said it is the most brutal thing he has ever done.
