Other than the obvious way of hunting/trapping is there any other way I can get rid of the coons?

Stop feeding corn. If you've already got a pretty large strong varmint cage and they are just eating it off the ground, there's not much you can do other than continuously working to keep their numbers down.

Trap them. You have to manage the problem to solve the problem.

I would love to use a trap. the problem is that I am not close enough to the lease to keep it set. My concern is how to keep them away from the protein feeder I setup. Any thoughts on that?

Does the shark teeth on the legs work?

4" PVC worked for me. They're still around but they don't climb up the feeder and eat out of it.

The only sure way to manage them is trapping and rifle

if you're not going to trap them cause you're too far away then you've lost

I put 3-4 traps per feeder pen, and I've been killing 2-4 per week per pen
I am seeing a lot less on cams

Just get a few dukes foot hold traps and put 3-4 around trees near your feeder. Put little marshmallows and a little syrup in there and you will get rid of them temporarily.

I just ordered some dukes as well. Have two feeders the coons are doing gymnastics on every night and the coons need to be cleared/thinned/discouraged.

Hoping I can get a good response with the traps.

For what its worth, next time if everyone will stop distracting 'Libby' and just let her take care of the coon, it will go a lot smoother.

Love the part at the end though: "Libby lets go get a drink". I was thinking like a Cold Beer or maybe a Vodka and Tonic. cheers
