Can anyone ID this crab eater that was in the slough behind my house this evening? Cell phone photo so it may be tough. He can dive for over 2 minutes and caught two crabs in the 10 or so minutes I watched him!!

Thats what I thought as well but he's twice the size of any loon I've ever seen. Color looks like a Loon thou. confused2

Red-throated aren't typically found in Texas and they are small.

Probably a non-breeding Common Loon, which would be migrating through. And they are big.
