Anyone have any experience with a knight bighorn? Never held a muzzel loader until I won one in a raffle a few weeks ago. I really don't have a need for it but guess I might as well try and figure it out.

Not familiar with the bighorn but I have a knight MK85 and absolutely love it. Very accurate and packs a hell of a punch when using the right bullet and powder. The good thing with muzzleloaders is you can use them to hunt most public land because most of it is restricted to bow, shotguns, and muzzleloaders. I would recommend using Blackhorn 209 powder as it's very good and clean burning so cleaning afterwards is easy. If you end up wanting to sell it let me know as I have a buddy who wants to give muzzleloading a try

I have two Knight rifles, but do not have the Bighorn. One thing about Knight, they are usually very accurate rifles. The Bighorn uses the "bolt action" method that cocks the rifle. It uses the 209 primer with the plastic jacket and can shot 150 grains of powder. It has a single stage safety

I have the Vision Max 1, which is a "break-over" method to load the primer, and automatically cocks the rifle. It has a single stage button safety and the primer does not require the plastic jacket.

You should go to the Knight Rifles web sight - http://www.knightrifles.com
