would be interested in knowing where the funding for this project came from... Looks like they've been doing this for decades. It's likely part of both agency's standing budget. http://tpwd.texas.gov/huntwild/wild/game_management/waterfowl/Since it's a joint agency project I bet they use FWS aircraft while TWPD biologists do the counts and compile the stats.

Interesting looking at how many birds were in the panhandle from 2015 to 2016...
Very interesting...
Also, the lack of birds in Grayson and Fannin county this year, depending when they did the survey would be accurate or not!
