Yea I don't mind walking in the dark. But I use a flashlight in early season when it's still warm, specifically because of snakes

Yup more than once, now days I spread sulfur pellets from Tractor Supply around the blinds in September, have deer close in, doesn't seem to phase them but haven seen a snake close to the blind since starting that.

Our old lease in Brown County we had them anytime a stand would get blown down. When you went to set a tower back up they would be under it almost every time.

Yuck no and hopefully never. I have had a skunk take refuge in a old gun blind. I ended up sitting outside. Didn't want to make noise dealing with him.

I try to visit my blind couple weeks and the day before I'm hunting, always take Wasp and Hornet spray and a Ruger Blackhawk .44 special with shotshells
