Put a springer precision mag extension on one of my Sig 320 mags. Adds 4-5 extra rounds. Spent a little time at the range yesterday and noticed after last round the slide would not lock back/open. Used a factory mag with same ammo, locked back.

All you replace on the mag is the bottom metal and the spring. Just using my thumb it felt like the same amount of spring/retention

If you fire a hammerless semi auto with one in the chamber and no mag in it, does the slide lock back? (should of tried that yesterday)

Kinda scratching my head to figure out what might be causing it

No, the mag follower pushes up on the slide lock lever to lock the slide back on last round.

For my 2 cents, the issue is bound to be connected to the amount of tension the new spring is placing on the follower vs. the amount the old spring was exerting.

That was my thought, but never actually attempted it

i will see if some how I can rate the tension the spring is exerting

That why we aren't allowed to use those. We can only use extended mags made by Sig.

I fixed it

I forgot to mention the follower came made on the spring, well it didn't have the "lip" I guess you would say.

So took it off and modified the spring to make it fit the factory one. Works fine now
