So I have a friend wanting to sell his Bowtech Assassin and I'm interested but I've never owned a compound bow before.
So help me out guys, is it good, bad, what? I know now brands is like asking about Ford Chevy Dodge.

Great Bow, but like shoe's it has to fit you or it wont be comfortable!

Huge fan of my assassin. Bought it in 2010, have had and sold several other high end bows since then that haven't met my fancy as much as the "entry level" bowtech.

X2. I was ready to buy whatever bow that fit best regardless of money, but this bow stood out to me among many others. The bow is a little on the loud side and was quieted down with some larger string silencers and a heavier arrow. I only shoot 2 dozen or so arrows a year so I can't really say how long they'll hold up.

As far as how they hold up:

I have shot mine thousands and thousands of times since purchase in 2010, I have replaced springs and cables once and a cable slide, no issue to cams or limbs, but a little finish wear around the grip and in small spots of the riser. I'm not exactly easy on it either though, and have had it outdoors in every kind of weather imaginable in pursuit of various animals.
