My birthday is next month and I think I'll surprise myself with a new pistol. What do like/dislike about them?

My Yes is yes, my no is no you don't need to like either one but you can depend on both.

The only sig I'd consider is the X5-all round.

I carried a P220 and P226 for years as law enforcement and security. Went through thousands of rounds and never had an issue. Hate to throw this in but you might wanna look at Glock. I didn't like them till I shot one and now love the dang things.

I once drank muddy water out of a hoof print and was dang glad to get it.

I have a P226, but sometimes wish I had gotten a P229 instead.

The Sig P250 has the longest trigger pull I've ever seen. First time I shot it I pulled the trigger for about 30 seconds thinking dang when is this thing gonna fire.

Same. IMO, stay away from the p250.

Carried a 229 from 97 to 02 then my agency issued glocks. Had a 220,226,239,230,238, 1911, carry a a 938 off duty now. Good guns, never an issue one. Still have my 229 I started my career with, as well as a 1911, bolt action rifle, and a 556 rifle. Love my 938!! Hear good things about the 320.

I've got a mid-90's P220. Awesome piece! Never had any issues with it at all. Would really like to find me a nice P228 from around the same time period.

Hard to beat the metal framed Sig P Series..P220, P225, P226, P228, P229 are the flagships, can't go wrong with any of those.

I'd be glad to help with specifics if you have questions.

226 is a nice pistol. 320 is getting a lot of good reviews.

There is something about the P226 MK25 that appeals to me. I unfortunately have very wide hands and very short fingers. The grip is just too big for me. Wanting a full size 9MM I purchased a CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical which is a great handgun and I like CZ. I'd still like a P226. I believe Sig makes good product. My only Sig is a P232 which is really nice.

Get a DA/SA if you get one. The DAK trigger sucks.

My Sig 226 is my favorite pistol. I don't carry it, but prefer it over my Glocks, M&Ps and XDs. DA/SA trigger takes some getting used to, but man in the SA mode my gun is awesome. The ergonomics or fit in my hand is better than any other pistol I've had. This is just my opinion, but the Sig looks better than any polymer striker fired pistol.
