I finished rejuvenating the fields week before last. Great piece of equipment. We ran one on 1000 acres of improved pasture for a few of years in the Hill Country. Made a huge diffence in production of grazing and hay. First year it added 50% more to amount of bales per cutting on squares of coastal. Same patch a month later Haven't sprayed or fertilized yet

Good looking pasture. I bet you get some nice F1's with that Hereford bull.

Amazing what happens when rain actually soaks in instead of running off!

Looks good. In regards to the original thread. I'm not sure a piece of equipment was the sole reason for a yield increase Stx.

No. It rained less the first year I used the aerator and also I used less fertilizer due to rising costs. The first two years of cutting square bales before the aerator I got around 30 bales the second year per acre on two cutting and the first year 36 bales per acre on three cuttings. The first year after running the aerator I got 3 cuttings and average 54 bales per acre. This in in the Hill Country and not the best soils. Very hardpan from years of running to many cattle on the place. Getting water in the ground instead running off into the creeks was the key on not very much flat ground.

I use an Aerway on the golf course, great pieces of equipment if you just want to open the ground for air and water.

I got moles opening up my ground but not with those results. Great looking cattle!
