Where are you looking? An approx area of interest will help narrow down some of the responses. 220k will only go so far, as I am sure you know, farther out west and shorter near big cities. Texas is a big place and asking for land in the whole state is probably going to be fruitless.

search Craigslist (Austin, San Angelo, Abilene), there are a bunch of small tracts (15-30 acres) for sale around Eden, you might could piece several together within your price range. Craigslist link to Eden hunting ranches for sale
