Hornady dies are marked 38/357 Mag/357 Max. I'm not sure of the other brands. Rem 7 1/2 Primers grin 296-H110 or Alliant 300MP works well with the heavier bullets.

Gotta ask you guys...since I am getting into reloading these and started buying the things I need for loading and shooting in the Contender....brass,dies,bullets and powder for deer hunting. Found two local stores having stock. One has Dan Wesson at $30 per 20 rds the other $40 for remington. What price point do you think is worth it getting factory loaded ammo just to keep brass? This brass can be hard to find at times reasonably

The factory loads for this round I have seen are 158gr bullets, it does real well with 180gr bullets. It is a seasonal run cartridge and as such gets put on the back burner during ammo crunch times so get the brass when you can IMO. As to when factory ammo is the option for it I think I have bought only a couple boxes of factory rounds. The rest have been buying the brass for it.
