I have a 14" barrel and found some 357max ammo at two different lgs. One has Dan Wesson 158gr the other by Remington. I think the Rem would be ok, but can I use the Dan Wesson as well? Can I shoot most any 357max I fibd?

Any factory load should be OK. My 10" .357 Max Contender barrel was more accurate than I expected. It kicked and boomed a bit, but it was definitely a shooter. I often wished I had it in 14" instead of ten. That should make an outstanding deer gun.

Agree, there is specific +p load data for the Contender that is more pressure than to be used in the revolvers chambered for the Mad Max
