I've got an AR15 and 10/22 stamped. Have Form 1s for another AR15 and a LR308 working. Want to do another before the changes in trust rules later this year. I'm thinking
12" Mini-14 Sig MPX 9mm Quarter Circle 10mm AR15 12" Rem 1187 12 gauge
I already own the Mini-14 and 1187 so those would be the cheapest to do. Open to other suggestions.
Thoughts?
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Id prob go with the Sig 9mm.
Off topic but when you submit a 2nd or 3rd Form do you have to attach a list of current NFA items with your trust or just send the trust as is just like you did for the first one?

I would do some research about shortening an 1187 for a SBS. Maybe you already have. I have considered doing it to my 1100 but I fear I wouldn't get it to cycle the way it should. For that reason alone, I am in the process of having a Saiga SBS. A Mini 14 SBR sure is appealing.

I would probably go mpx. They are supposed to be pretty versatile with caliber switches. The mini 14 would be about the same as your AR. Shotgun could be fun to play with too tho..

JP Enterpise GMR-13...takes Glock magazines.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

I've never been asked for a Schedule 1 attachment. FYI, if the body of your trust mentions any schedule where property is located, as in "See schedule 1 (mine is schedule A), or B or C (mine and my wife's separate property placed in trust) for list of owned assets, etc." you must submit those schedules with the trust. Your trust may not be constructed this way, but my trust lists several schedules and when I didn't submit all schedules mentioned, I received a "NO GO" at that station. Cost me about two weeks on my Form 1 in 2010. YMMV.

Mine is a Schedule A and it's my understanding that the Schedule A has to be attached but the copies of the stamps do not. I go ahead and send in the whole thing stamps and all so that I don't have to worry about it.
I have a 300 blk SBR. Been thinking of doing another but can't ever decide on what gun or caliber to do. So keep the suggestions coming.

Mpx would be pretty awesome. If your considering that, have you looked at the CZ scorpion?

Get a bullpup. No trust needed. I'm liking the Tavor.

I really like the Sig MPX for a pistol caliber. I have zero use for a SBR, other than plinking fun so I'd prob stick to the MPX. Now if money were no issue I would had a Tavor

Get a bullpup. No trust needed. I'm liking the Tavor. I really don't like bullpup rifles. The triggers always suck, mag changes are just weird, and they're always very off balance. Plus I don't like having the chamber directly under my face. I shot with a guy that had a round that was loaded too hot in his Tavor, and he got powder burned pretty good when it went off. Not the rifles fault, but it can happen. That round locked up his rifle and the ammunition company paid for a new Tavor... You may love the bullpup design. It's not for me.

They can be an acquired taste. Agree about the triggers but they can be traded out. A lot of people put aftermarket triggers in like they would in any other rifle design. Mine has a Geisselle (spelling error) and it shoots as well as any AR I've shot. I find the balance on the Tavor better than any AR after shouldered. Mag changes, well maybe it's what you're used to. I'm not current or ex military or Leo so I wasn't "trained" to perform quick mag changes. I suspect it's a matter of practice with either design. Not every one will like it. And the starting price sucks! Every one that's shot mine has loved shooting it though. Lot's to like but as you stated, probably not for everyone. For me, the Ar's have been stuck in the safe since I bought the Tavor. Seriously thinking about just selling them.

And how does that aftermarket trigger do, and how much are they? I didn't even know they made one.

And how does that aftermarket trigger do, and how much are they? I didn't even know they made one. Rifle runs about $1600 if you look around. Geisselle trigger makes it a whole new gun but runs ~$350. Dropped my trigger pull from 11.5 lbs to 4.5 lbs. with no slack. Timney and one other make aftermarket triggers that are reported to be good as well. Word is, IWI (Israeli Weapons Industries - maker of the Tavor) has followed suit and is starting to install improved triggers and will make them available aftermarket to older Tavors.

I really like the CZ Scorpion and Sig MPX design. I just wish both were offered in a 10mm configuration.
Pistol caliber carbines are generally just above pistol power until one starts looking at .357mag, 10mm, 44mag, and 45Colt.

Maybe if I had $50k laying around to spend on a toy. Even the knock off HK SBRs are $4-5k.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Get a bullpup. No trust needed. I'm liking the Tavor. Significantly better performance too. The one and only thing that a SBR does better than a bullpup is make noise - and it's the kinetic energy in the bullet, not the noise - that gets the job done.
