I own a M1000 S&W shotgun. Bought it for the wife, sweet shooting little gun.

I have my dads SW 1000 12 gauge with two barrels, full and improved cylinder. Kicks like a mule compared to my Remington 11-87, but its very light and point well. I believe Mossberg produced the same gun as well.

Mossberg and s&w had howa out of japan make thie 1000 series shotguns. Think most parts interchange.

The point is that they are looking at the manufacturing end of the business not just marketing. They want to control it from raw material to finished product.

They have tried shotguns several times, always with a subcontractor; much like their first ARs were Stag built. I'd like to see them actually make their own.
